Nurse Breda Browne.breda browne

Breda did her nursing training in Dr. Steevens Hospital in Dublin (now the headquarters of the HSE). She took a break for a few years to raise a family but has worked as a nurse in this practice for more than twenty years. 
Breda does everything from Baby Checks, Phebotomy, Ambulatory BP monitoring, ECGs to syringing wax from ears. Always a pleasant smiling face, Breda puts the most nervous patients, young and old at their ease.

 

Receptionist Siobhan Mahony.siobhan1

Siobhan came to Rattoo Medical just over a year ago on work experience from her Medical Administration course with the KETB.She fitted in so well we invited her to do a Job Bridge placement for 6months. This was really successful and Siobhan was offered a permanent job in January last. 

 

 

Practice Manager Lynda Walsh.lynda walsh

Lynda started work as a Receptionist in 1994 but has since gone on to do the Management in Practice Course in the Irish College of General Practitioners and while she still does some reception work her main role is in managing this busy practice.
Working quietly behind the scene, Lynda is the force that keeps everything and everybody working smoothly.

 

 

Dr. Richard O Reilly.richard o reilly

Richard is the fourth generation of doctor. His great grandfather practiced medicine in the Cavan /Leitrim area at the end of the Great Famine. And we think we live in challenging times!
Richard studied medicine in UCD and despite being a diligent student managed to make time to play as a scrum half for the Mater Rugby team.
After qualifying he returned to the UK for his Internship and trained in general practice on the North Lincolnshire VTS.
He was a Partner in the Ashby Turn Practice (NHS FUND HOLDING PRACTICE) until returning to Practice in Ireland in 1994,
Richard Irish Medical Council Number is 15323
In keeping with best practice Richard does at least 50 hours of continuing training/audit every year to keep up to date and maintain his position on the Specialist Register of the I.M.C. competence assurance scheme in conjunction with the I.C.G.P.
His area of special interest is dermatology and he runs a mole check clinic in the Rattoo Medical Centre.

 

Dr. Stephanie Hanratty.steph

Stephanie graduated from UCD and after a yearlong internship in the Mater Hospital Dublin trained in surgery in Galway, Limerick and Tullamore and in Paediatric Surgery in Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin. She continued her training on a Fellowship Program in London and was admitted as a Fellow to the College of Surgeons (Irl) in 1983
After six years of surgical training and three wonderful but very small children Stephanie changed career to General Practice. She was accepted onto the North Lincolnshire VTS and after three further years became a partner in a rural dispensing GP practice in Lincolnshire where she remained until returning to Ireland following her appointment to the GMS panel in Ballyduff, Tralee, County Kerry.
Stephanie’s Irish Medical Council number is 05107 where she is listed on the Specialist Division (General Practice) and is enrolled in the Irish College of General Practitioners Professional Competence Program.
